Christmas day

 Diary (par.576)

Jesus always awaits sinners

   Diary (par.1728)

Oh Most Blessed Trinity, eternal God, my spirit drowns in Your beauty; centuries are nothing for you, You are always the same. Oh, how great is Your Majesty! Jesus, why do you hide Your Majesty, you abandoned the throne  in Heaven and you live here on earth among us? The Lord answered me: "My daughter, love lead me here and love keeps Me here. My daughter, if you knew what great merit and reward is obtained by an act of pure love towards Me, you would die with joy. I say this so that you may be united continuously with Me by means of love, since this is the aim of the life of your soul; this act consists of an act of will. Know that a pure soul is humble; when you humble yourself and annul yourself before My Majesty, it is then that I will pursue you with My graces, I will make use of My omnipotence in order to exalt you".

"Write: I am thrice holy and even the tiniest sin horrifies me. I cannot love a soul that is stained by sin, but when it repents, My generosity towards it is limitless. My Mercy embraces and forgives it. With My Mercy I pursue sinners along their paths and My Heart rejoices when they return to Me. I forget the bitterness with which they fed My Heart and I am happy for their return. Tell sinners that nobody will escape My hands. If they flee before My Merciful Heart, they will fall into the hands of My justice. Tell sinners that I am always waiting for them, I am listening out for the beating of their heart in order to know when it will beat for Me. Write that I speak to them through their remorse of conscience, through their failures and sufferings, through storms and lightening, I speak with the voice of the Church, and if they make all My graces become graces sent in vain, I will begin to get angry with them, abandoning them to themselves and I will give  them what they want".

Why do we have to pray?

Diary (par.146-147)

The confession

Diary (par. 1602)

Prayer. With prayer the soul prepares itself to face up to almost any battle. In whatever conditions the soul might find itself, it must pray. A soul, which is beautiful and pure, must pray, because otherwise it risks loosing its beauty. A soul that is tending towards purity must pray, otherwise it will never attain that purity. A soul that has just converted must pray, otherwise it will fall again. A sinful soul, a soul immersed in sin, must pray, in order to be able to rise up from sin.

And there is no soul that does not have the duty to pray, because each and every grace comes about by means of prayer.

...The soul must know that, in order to pray and persevere in prayer, it must be armed with patience and courageously overcome both external and internal difficulties.

The inner difficulties: discouragement, dryness, heaviness, and temptation.

The exterior difficulties: human respect and the need to respect moments that are set aside for prayer.

Today the Lord say to me: "My daughter, when you approach holy confession, this fountain of My Mercy, the Blood and Water that came forth from My Heart will ennoble your soul. Each time that you go to confession immerse yourself completely in the abundance of My graces. When you go to confession, know that I myself await you in the confessional, I cover myself behind the priest, but it is I who operate within the soul. There the misery of the soul encounters the God of Mercy. Tell the souls that from this fountain of Mercy they can obtain graces with the vessel of faith alone. If their faith is great, My generosity will be limitless. The torrents of my grace will flood humble souls. The proud remain always in the midst of poverty and misery, because My grace turns away from them towards humble souls".

The Attributes of God

Diary  (par.180)

Prayers of S. Faustina

Diary (par.163)

The first attribute that the Lord allowed me to come to know was that of His Holiness. Such Holiness is so great that all Powers and Virtues tremble before Him. Pure soul hide their faces and express the highest forms of adoration. And the only expression of their limitless adoration is: "Holy..."

The Holiness of God is distributed to the Church and to each member of that Church, but not in the same measure. There are souls who are completely penetrated by God and there are those who are barely alive.

The second attribute that the Lord revealed to me is His Justice. His Justice is so great and penetrating that it reaches down into the essence of things and everything lies before Him in its naked reality and nothing can withstand Him.

The third attribute is Love and Mercy. And I understood that Love and Mercy are the greatest attributes. They unite the creature to its Creator. Such immense love and such an abyss of mercy are made known in the Incarnation of the Word and in the Redemption, which is brought about by God. It is here that I saw the greatest of God's attributes.

Help me, oh Lord, to ensure that my eyes are merciful, so that I may never nurture suspicion nor judge people on the basis of exterior appearances, but let me seek out what is good in my neighbour's soul and let me be able to help him.

Help me to have merciful ears, oh Lord, so that I may bow down to the necessities of my neighbour, let my ears never be indifferent to the pain or lamentations of my neighbour.

Help me, oh Lord, let my tongue be merciful, let it never speak unfavourably about my neighbour, but let it always have a word of comfort or forgiveness for everyone.

Help me, oh Lord, let my hands be merciful and full of good deeds, so that I will only know how to do good to my neighbour, and let me take on the more burdensome tasks.

Help me, let my feet be merciful, so that I may always run to the aid of my neighbour, overcoming my indolence and tiredness. Let me find my real repose in service to my neighbour.

Help me, oh Lord, and let my heart be merciful, so that it may participate in all the sufferings of my neighbour. Let me refuse my heart to nobody. I will behave sincerely even with those whom I Know will take advantage of my goodness, while I will take refuge in the most Meciful Heart of Jesus.
