THE CHAPLET OF THE DIVINE MERCY
|
THE PROMISES OF JESUS
S. Faustina received the Chaplet of the Divine Mercy from Jesus at Vilnius in the year 1935. Jesus, after telling S. Faustina "My daughter, encourage souls to say the Chaplet which I have given you", promised that "Through the Chaplet souls will obtain everything, if what they ask for is compatible with My will". "..Anyone who says it will receive great Mercy at the hour of death". "..When persons say this Chaplet in the presence of the dying, I will stand between My Father and the dying person not as the just judge but as the Merciful Savior." Jesus told priests to recommend the Chaplet to sinners as their last hope of salvation; promising that "Even the most hardened sinner, if he recites this Chaplet only once, will receive grace from My Infinite Mercy".

THE CHAPLET
The chaplet of the Divine Mercy is said using Rosary beads. Begin with:
The sign of the Cross The Our Father The Hail Mary The Apostles Creed
Then on the Our Father Beads say the following prayer:
Eternal Father, I offer You the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of Your dearly beloved Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, in atonement for our sins and those of the whole world.
On the Hail Mary Beads say the following prayer:
By His most painful Passion, have mercy on us and on the whole world.
Ending prayer (say three times):
Holy God, Holy Mighty One, Holy Immortal One, have mercy on us and on the whole world.

THE HOUR OF MERCY
Jesus says: "At three o'clock in the afternoon, implore My mercy, especially for sinners; and, if only for a brief moment, immerse yourself in My Passion, particularly in My abandonment at the moment of agony. This is the hour of great mercy for the whole world" .... "It was the hour of grace for the whole world - mercy triumphed over justice". "When with faith and a penitent heart, you will say this prayer for some sinner, I shall give to him the grace of conversion. This is the short pray I ask to you"
O Blood and Water, which gushed forth from the Heart of Jesus as a fount of mercy for us. I trust in You.
CONSACRATION TO MERCIFUL JESUS
Most merciful Saving, I devote myself entirely and for ever to You. Change me in an easily instrument of Your Mercy. O Blood and Water, which gushed forth from the Heart of Jesus as a fount of mercy for us. I trust in You.
CONSACRATION OF THE WORLD TO DIVINE MERCY
God, Merciful Father, in your Son, Jesus Christ, you have revealed your love and poured it out upon us in the Holy Spirit, the Comforter, we entrust to you today the destiny of the world and of every man and woman. Bend down to us sinners, heal our weakness, conquer all evil, and grant that all the peoples of the earth may experience your mercy. In You, the Triune God, may they ever find the source of hope. Eternal Father, by the Passion and Resurrection of your Son, have mercy on us and upon the whole world! Amen. John Paul II |
